Krakow Concert Schedule 22-28.06 / 25th Krakow Jewish Festival

The 25th Krakow Jewish Culture Festival starts this thurdsay, to which I'll dedicate a separate post tomorrow. Accordingly to one of the Murphy's laws, if there are two good parties this week they'll definitely be on the same day. Which is why you'll have to make some hard choices. Below the concert proposals for the upcoming days which are not festival-related.

23.06. King Ayisoba & Band at Klub RE
Straight from Ghana, King Ayisoba and his crew, with traditional rhythms and some modern twists. A must-see to anyone interested in world / roots music.

26.08 Jr Robinson & Joachim Mencel Piec'ART
Jr Robinson is a british gospel / soul / rnb singer, Joachim Mencel is a great pianist and it should be a a very soulful and inspired evening of music. On that not I love the occasion to re-post this tune from Interludium cd which remains in my ears one of the most beautiful polish records in history.

27.09 Pawel Kaczmarczyk Direction In Music - Esbjorn Svennson Trio at Harris Piano Jazz Bar
Another installment in Pawel Kaczmarczyk's series of tributes, this time with his Audiofeeling Trio will play the music from the repertoire of the acclaimed EST,  commemorating the anniversary of the tragic and untimely death of its leader.

28.08 Nat Osborn at Piec'ART
Soulful singer and song-writer straight from New York to Krakow, usually playing with a small band, this time he'll try to charm the evening on his own and it sounds he has the chops to do it.

28.08 Mateusz Gaweda Standards Trio at Harris Piano Jazz Bar
Among young generation of pianists Mateusz Gaweda remains one of the most active if still relatively under-appreciated (hopefully it'll change with the PeGaPoFo Quartet's debut cd getting some positive reception). His take on the standards repertoire should be quite interesting to hear.
